Orphans Needing Sponsored (Part I)

Sorry for the delay, folks. I have about 1,000 excuses and 3,000 reasons as to why I've not posted the information about the children in Sierra Leone, Africa who need sponsors, but you don't come to the blog to read excuses.

And most of the excuses have to do with my own 42.5-inch, 39-pound former orphan... :–)

If you are interested in sponsoring one of these specific children, please contact me through the comments section of this blog, facebook, or my personal email address (chanceginger@gmail.com).  We have a volunteer who will contact you with the specifics on making these monthly, tax-deductible donations.

There are two different levels at which each child can be sponsored.  $45.00 per month will cover the costs of food, clothing, medication, and education.  $30.00 per month will cover just food.  (I'd like to be able to feed little Nasko for just $30.00 per month!  Holy moly...  He eats that in bananas and hot dogs alone!)

Currently we are seeking sponsors for eighteen children.

The need for assistance is MUCH greater than eighteen children, but we are starting with this group.

Eleven of the children live in Children's Redemption Orphanage Home in Waterloo, Sierra Leone.  The other seven are bouncing from home to home within their communities until the orphanage expands and is able to take them in.  The orphanage (and its ministry) helps to pay for the expenses of these children, even though they do not live within the home's four walls.

Today, I'll plan to share the information about four of the children who currently live in Children's Redemption Orphanage Home.

Over the next few weeks (you've heard that before, yes?) I'll try my darnedest to post pictures and information on all eighteen of the children.  Please pray and discuss the possibility of sponsorship with your family.

Some of the children have already been sponsored, but I want to post pictures and info for every child, because each of these children need prayer.

Even if you cannot sponsor an orphan monetarily at this time, I'm begging that you pray for these children.  Call them by name and ask the Father of the fatherless to keep them in His care.  Pray that their needs would be met and that they would escape illness.  Pray for their little minds and bodies – that both might grow and develop to be used to grow God's kingdom here on earth.

And here are the kids:
