Dear Dairy Products,
I’m unsure of the best way to approach this subject. This topic is going to be very hard for me to discuss and admit, but at the same time, very necessary.
We can no longer see each other.
We need to break up.
I know that during the winter of 2009, I stated that we needed to take a break – you know, still remain friends and see each other on occasion – but that arrangement can not go on any longer. It’s not healthy.
I don’t know how else to say it. I need time and space to full embrace my new life as a lactose-intolerant person.
It’s not you, it’s me.
Your cold, creamy texture is so lovely and so refreshing. Your ability to be useful and compatible in so many recipes and situations is something I should learn from.
Honestly, it’s not you, it’s me.
I don’t know how to digest your attitude and your ways. It pains me when we’ve been together. It hurts me deep down inside.
For a period of time, I would appreciate no contact. I love you. I’m sorry we cannot be together, but this is really for the best.
